Student, baker & cake decorator 😉

I’ve been baking on and off since I was 14 but I never really fell in love with it till a couple of years later when the realization – that butter + a liquid + eggs + flour will almost always equate cake – struck me. I’ve had a few major set backs; my first two tier cake was a huge disaster along with an overused, overworked, spark emitting hand mixer… amongst other things, but baking’s always been a comfort to me.
Afternoons In The Kitchen started out in September 2010 when I decided to keep track of the things that I bake. Initially it began as an album on facebook, and after reading many food blogs, I’ve decided to try my hand at writing and keeping proper records of the things I bake & cook.
I wrote a post “How do you get to where you are?”, if you’re curious to see how Afternoons In The Kitchen started, you can read it here
Do feel free to drop me a comment here or an email at email@example.com. I would love to know if anyone reads this blog! (:
